Vegan Baked Apple Chips with Cinnamon Sugar

I love making these apple chips as an afternoon snack for myself and my family. They’re also a hit at parties and gatherings! Whether you’re hosting friends or just looking for a wholesome snack to enjoy during movie night, these apple chips are sure to be a hit. Plus, they make your house smell amazing while they’re baking! My kids always get excited when they come home to the smell of cinnamon and apples wafting through the house.

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation Steps:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Slice the Apples:
    • Core the apples and thinly slice them into rounds, about 1/8 inch thick. Remove any seeds.
  4. Coat the Apple Slices:
    • Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Use a silicone brush to lightly brush each apple slice with water.
    • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the apple slices, making sure to coat each slice evenly.
  5. Bake the Apple Chips:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the apple slices are crisp and golden brown.
