  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • Add eggs, one at a time, then mix in peppermint extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies if using.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden.
  • Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
